Iosepa Sailing and Maintenance
The centerpiece of BYU–Hawaii’s Hawaiian Studies program is Iosepa, a 57-foot Hawaiian voyaging canoe. The canoe is housed and displayed for guests in a donor-funded canoe house at the Polynesian Cultural Center. The university requests donations totaling $600,000 to fund portions of the Hawaiian Studies program related to the sailing and maintenance of the Iosepa.
