What is LDS Philanthropies?

LDS Philanthropies is a department of the Office of the Presiding Bishopric responsible for philanthropic donations to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and its affiliated charities.


     

    Mormon-GAVI Alliance Saves Lives With Immunizations

    Africa Immunization  As part of World Immunization Week, the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunizations (GAVI) — an organization that has prevented close to six million deaths through immunizations — posted a video about its partnership with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  Full Story
     

    Church Working With Oklahoma Officials to Provide Support in Wake of Tornadoes

     The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints expresses condolences to those affected by Monday’s destructive tornadoes that hit five states, the most devastating of which occurred in Moore, Oklahoma.  Full Story
     

    Funeral Services for Frances J. Monson Announced

     The funeral of Frances J. Monson, wife of Thomas S. Monson, president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, will be held in the Salt Lake Tabernacle at noon on Thursday this week, 23 May. The public is invited to the funeral service. There will be no public viewing. Additional details will be forthcoming. The family has suggested that, in lieu of gifts, a donation may be made to the General Missionary Fund. Members can donate on their local unit donation slip or donations can be made on this site.   Full Story
     

    President Monson Invites Support for General Mission Fund
