LDS Business College awarded 549 degrees to 335 students during graduation ceremonies in the Tabernacle on Temple Square on April 12.
"Success in life is a matter of degrees," said Elder L. Whitney Clayton of the Presidency of the Seventy who was the keynote speaker. "You will need to be wise as you go forward. Life will throw choices at you. Some will be obviously good and others equally obviously poor. However, often the choices you will confront will be harder to discern.”
It was the school’s 126th commencement. Students hailed from 50 states and 60 countries.
If students are to fly on their own, at some point they have to close the books and get their hands on the controls, believes an instructor at LDS Business College. In the case of students in the principles of marketing class, that meant sitting in staff meetings with the boss and looking under the hood with a mechanic at Ken Garff Honda in Salt Lake City.
