Global Management Center Named for Former Kodak CEO
The late Kay Whitmore, who worked for Kodak for 36 years and led the company for three, was known for his business acumen and integrity. He was supported in his rise to CEO by his wife of 48 years, Yvonne. A generous gift to the Marriott School from Yvonne and their children will honor his legacy by helping to train future leaders. In 1856, John Griffiths set out from Liverpool, England, with his family and headed to Salt Lake City in the Martin Handcart Company with the help of the Perpetual Emigration Fund. 150 years later, descendants of these two pioneers gathered in Provo, Utah, to pay a unique tribute to their Martin Handcart Company ancestors—a settlement of a 150-year-old debt.
