Policy:
The Church accepts donations readily marketable and publicly traded securities.
Donations of Shares Held in a Brokerage Account:
The Church has established an account with CIBC Wood Gundy. Please follow the following steps:
(1) Please instruct your broker to transfer shares to our account. The instructions are:

(2) Request that your broker contact our Wood Gundy Broker to advise when the shares are being transferred.
Donations of Shares Held in a Stock Certificate:
(1) If shares are held in a certificate, endorse the back of the certificate as follows:

(2) All owners of the certificate must sign and have their signature guaranteed by a bank.

Notify Donations-in-Kind Office
Whether you transfer the shares via your broker or if you mail in a certificate, you will want to notify the Donations-in-Kind office of your donation so you can receive proper credit and a receipt. Please include the following information:
Name & Address
Name of security and number of shares being donated.
Allocation of Donation (i.e. Tithing, Humanitarian, PEF, etc)
Name and unit number of ward or branch
Once we have received confirmation from our brokerage that the shares are in the Church's account, a Revenue Canada tax valid receipt will be sent to you. The value of the donations will be the average of the high and low trading price for the date the shares are transferred to our account, or the certificate is deposited.
