Iosepa Sailing and Maintenance
The centerpiece of BYU–Hawaii’s Hawaiian Studies program is Iosepa, a 57-foot Hawaiian voyaging canoe. The canoe is housed and displayed for guests in a donor-funded canoe house at the Polynesian Cultural Center. The PCC requests donations totaling $500,000 to fund ongoing maintenance of the halau waa (canoe house) and related facilities at the center.
