Benson Food Initiative
Millions of children eat one meal a day because they don’t have enough food. Humanitarian Services of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, who operates LDS Charities, helps improve quality of life with home food production and nutrition training. Less disease and work absence lead to increased self-reliance.
Last year, LDS Charities helped 116,000 people in 12 countries improve their nutritional production. They included home gardens, nutrition training, and food storage in Fiji, the Philippines, and the United States.
One hundred percent of every dollar donated is used to help those in need without regard to race, religion, or ethnic origin.
Note: Dark areas on the map represent those countries receiving Food Production and Nutrition aid.
