45 million people are blind; millions more have severely limited eyesight. Local, qualified doctors are trained to diagnose and treat vision problems. Humanitarian Services of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, who operates LDS Charities, provides equipment and supplies essential for these procedures.

Last year, Humanitarian Services provided vision care to 309,800 people in 39 countries. People in 74 countries and territories have been helped since 2003.

One hundred percent of every dollar donated is used to help those in need without regard to race, religion, or ethnic origin.
