45 million people are blind; millions more have severely limited eyesight. Local, qualified doctors are trained to diagnose and treat vision problems. Humanitarian Services of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, who operates LDS Charities, provides equipment and supplies essential for these procedures.

Last year, Humanitarian Services provided vision care to 90,000 people in 37 countries. They included eyeglasses and vision care in Rwanda, surgical training in Mongolia, and optical technician training in Paraguay.

One hundred percent of every dollar donated is used to help those in need without regard to race, religion, or ethnic origin.
